Mid-South Balloon Festival returns bigger and better in 2025
Rossville, Tenn. – June 5, 2025 – The Mid-South Balloon Festival, formerly known as the Collierville Balloon Festival, is thrilled to officially announce its return this year on September 20-21 at a new location on the corner of TN-57 and Frazier Road in Rossville, Tennessee.
Presented by Alston Construction, this year's festival will feature over 20 stunning hot air balloons, live entertainment, a variety of food trucks, arts and crafts vendors and activities for the entire family. In addition to the festival, a private event - named Friday Night Lights - for children and adults with special needs and their families will be held on Friday, Sept. 19. Proceeds from the Mid-South Balloon Festival support educational programs within the local community, and the festival has raised just under $400,000 for community programs since becoming a nonprofit event in 2022.
“We are thrilled to bring the Mid-South Balloon Festival back in 2025, bigger and better than ever," said Chad Lindsay, VP and general manager at Alston Construction, and president of the Mid-South Balloon Festival. "This event is more than just a magical display of hot air balloons. It’s a celebration of community, family fun and giving back."
The festivities will begin each morning with a breathtaking dawn ascension of participating balloons, offering attendees a free and unforgettable visual experience. Gates will officially open at 3 p.m. on both days, welcoming visitors to enjoy live music, a Kids' Zone sponsored by Baptist Memorial Health Care, carnival rides, midway games and a diverse selection of local food and craft vendors.
For those seeking a more immersive experience, the festival will offer a limited number of balloon flights for $300 per person, as well as tethered balloon rides for $20 per person, both subject to weather conditions. Tickets for the festival range from $7 to $20 each and can be purchased online at midsouthballoonfest.com.
